Dr Nicholas Chee grew up locally and attended University of California, Davis where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He attended medical school at the Kansas City School of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri graduating magnum cum laude. Dr Chee did his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio before returning to Kansas City where he completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and Mid-America Heart Institute. He also completed an additional year in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging focusing on nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Dr Chee joined the Cardiopulmonary Associates Medical Group in 2001. He is board certified in cardiology as well as achieving advanced certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is level 2 trained in CT coronary angiography. Dr Chee is the director of the cardiovascular non-invasive diagnostic laboratory.
